This is the fifth international conference to study the prospects of finding experimental evidence for quantum gravity. The meeting brings together theorists with experimentalists from all areas of physics, from particle physics to astrophysics and cosmology to quantum optics.

As part of the first "Giersch International Symposion", this meeting will take place at the Frankfurt Institute for Advanced Studies. The first week (Sep 19-23) will be a conference supplemented with introductionary lectures aimed at students. The second week (Sep 26-30), organized by FIAS together with the graduate school "HGS-HIRe for FAIR", will provide student lectures that cover a broader range of topics related to research at FIAS.
